The Christmas BIG GIVE 2021

This year brought the disappointment of losing our UK Government grant for stove building due to cuts to the UK aid budget. Whilst we have been able to continue stove building, it has unfortunately been at a much reduced scale. As you may be aware, stove building is our most effective poverty reduction intervention, so it is crucial that we are able to ramp up production in the new year.

This is why the Christmas BIG GIVE is particularly important to us this year as it is an opportunity to raise at least £7500 for our stove project. We have £3750 already pledged from individuals and The Reed Foundation.

We are hoping that our Mbedza community will rise to the challenge of donating at least £3750 to activate the pledge funds already promised. Donations can be any amount and whatever is given will be doubled until all the pledge funds have been used up.

Donations can be made from 12pm on the 30th November when our BIG GIVE webpage becomes active. The webpage will then be open to donations for one week before closing at 12pm on the 7th December.

We just wanted to give you a heads up that this was coming, but don’t worry we will let you know again when the donation page opens.
