From Land’s End to John O’Groats

Last week one of our MPS community 'Damien Wells' set off from Land's End to cycle to the far end of the country in North East Scotland to raise funds for our tree planting programme. Amazingly his fundraising page has already attracted over £5000 in donations! Every pound donated will result in a tree planted in Malawi - not only planted but those trees will be monitored for five years whilst they reach sufficient maturity to be sustainably woodcropped. Damien said:
"On the 8th June 2021, I’ll be setting off from Land’s End for a very long bike ride, arriving in John O’Groats some 12 days and 960 miles later. Just for good measure, there’s 44,806 feet of ascent to be tackled along the way, or over 1.5x the height of Mount Everest."
