I am eternally grateful to Mbedza and all the sponsors

At Mbedza, we are proud to support young people like Kenneth, who have overcome adversity and achieved great success. Kenneth, a 19-year-old former student from Malindi Community Day Secondary School, was a shining example of hard work and dedication during his time at school. Not only was he made Monitor and Head Boy in his first and third years, but he also administered the Mbedza Malindi textbook library.

Despite facing challenges during his MSCE exams due to the illness of his grandparents, Kenneth passed the exams but did not achieve the grades he desired. However, this has not stopped him from pursuing his dream of becoming a primary school teacher and he now plans to re-sit the exams in the future.

We understand that many students like Kenneth come from disadvantaged backgrounds and a combination of factors can make it almost impossible for a child to pay school fees, let alone buy school resources such as uniform and books. That's why we provide not only school requirements but also basic necessities like food to help them overcome these challenges and achieve their goals.

As Kenneth says, "Mbedza has really shaped my future. I come from a very poor background and I used to live with my mother. Life was tough until my grandparents took me in so we could share whatever food they managed to lay their hands on. I loved the fact that Mbedza provided school requirements as well as maize which bailed our household out – the maize was a lifeline for me and my grandparents. I am eternally grateful to Mbedza."

We are committed to helping more young people and we can do that with the support of donors like you.

By becoming a monthly donor, you can make a real difference in the lives of young people like Kenneth and give them the opportunities they deserve. Together, we can shape a brighter future for these deserving students.
